孩子们看世界的视角与大人们截然不同，他们眼中的事物和对生活的感知与我们相去甚远，因而每当我投身儿童空间创作时，便需得“俯下身”来另辟蹊径，用孩子们的眼光来看世界，亦能在此过程中重温一番返璞归真的乐趣。

Children’s perspective on the world is completely different from that of adults. The things in their eyes and their perception of life are far different from ours. Therefore, whenever I devote myself to creating children’s space, I have to "bend down" to find another way. Looking at the world through children's eyes, we can also recover our original simplicity in the process.

当地坊间一直流传着有关于“五象岭”的神话传说，传说很久以前辛勤劳动耕耘的南宁人民一直期盼着来年能有个好收成，但四周野兽常来侵袭。

天上的玉皇大帝见状，便派五头神象下凡，赶跑野兽，协助人民耕种，从此五象便成了这片土地的保护神。

当我在南宁差旅途中偶然听到这则传说时，就产生了兴趣，或许跟奶奶小时候经常跟我讲述类似的民间传说有关，也可能是因我的小女儿平日里十分热衷于邀我一同阅读神话故事的缘故。

There have been legends about the "Wuxiangling" in the local shops. It is said that the people of Nanning, who worked hard long ago, have been looking forward to a good harvest in the coming year, but the surrounding wild animals often invade.

Upon seeing this, the Jade Emperor in the sky sent five idols to the earth to drive away the wild beasts and assist the people in farming. Since then, the five elephants have become the protector of this land.

When I accidentally heard this legend during my trip in Nanning, I became interested. Maybe it was related to the folklore that my grandma often told me when I was young, or it was because my little daughter was very keen to invite me to join her reading myths.

丰富的想象源起于此，于是我们便尝试着在空间中塑了些形态各异、憨态可掬的象，借此营造出生动奇趣的场景体验感。

As I once read in Shen Fu's "Children's Interest": When I was a child, I could open his eyes to the sun and observe the autumn leaves clearly. When I saw small things, I must carefully examine the textures, so there is always an interest outside of things.

小飞象雕塑也同树屋一前一后的呼应着，以一种极为柔软的姿态，插上童趣和诗意的翅膀，在室内流动生长着。

The Dumbo sculptures also echoed one after the other with the tree house, in a very soft posture, with childlike and poetic wings inserted, flowing and growing indoors.

我们尝试着在有限的空间里描摹出无限的自然美卷，更深层次的，则是期望着孩子们在与这些可爱的生命一朝一夕的相处中，悄然绵延而出的对自然生命温柔以待和善之心。
